Timelines
Timelines help reveal how policies, decisions, and social forces unfold over time — often slowly, unevenly, and with lasting consequences.
Rather than presenting history as isolated moments, timelines are used here to show sequence, continuity, and accumulation. Many of the issues explored on this site developed through a series of connected actions: laws passed, practices normalized, challenges mounted, and reforms attempted.
As this section grows, timelines will trace how specific systems emerged and evolved, highlighting key turning points alongside periods of resistance, adaptation, and persistence. These views are meant to complement articles by situating individual events within a broader historical arc.
Not every story fits neatly on a timeline, and not every consequence appears immediately. Where the record is incomplete or contested, that uncertainty will be noted. Timelines are included as interpretive tools — one way of seeing how the past moves through time and into the present.
